MANOR FARM, Coston, Barnham Broom, NR9 4 DT
A lovely 3 acre country garden set in a larger estate of farmland. There are several small garden rooms with both formal and informal planting. Walled kitchen garden, white, grass and summer gardens, roses herbacous and shrub borders. A large lawn surrounded by flower beds. Wild flower areas and new pictoral meadow borders. At this time of year the blossom, bulbs, spring flowers and trees are a wonderful sight with a crab apple walk round part of the estate.
Directions: From the B1108 between Norwich and Watton, turn onto the B1135 towards Dereham and on the sharp left hand bend go straight ahead onto Coston Lane and follow signs. |

BECK FARM, The Green, Brisley, NR20 5LN
An intensive acre of garden on the edge of Brisley Common, created from a field over a 30 year span.
A spectacular line of 14 clipped Holm oaks divides the garden with formal lawn and borders from the beech hedge enclosed ‘room’ behind; and beyond to mixed borders, trees and topiary. Within the beech hedge rectangle are two small wildflower strips and additional fruit and vegetable planting. The main vegetable garden has raised beds and gravel paths where heat loving plants self seed and the greenhouse and cold frames are very productive. There is a wealth of topiary created by the owner, animals and birds a speciality. Water and bog planting round two natural ponds and plenty of spring flowering shrubs. An active beehive is roped off, but please be aware if you have an allergy. Directions: Turn off the B1145 in Brisley down the gravel road nearly opposite the pillbox to the east of Brisley Bell Public House . |

THE OLD RECTORY, Whissonsett, NR20 5TF
Several different areas to explore, some divided by cloud pruned holly, beech, and yew hedges. A walled garden with water feature, borders and box parterre, other mixed herbaceous borders with climbing roses, clematis and quince trees. Ornamental orchard with circular hornbeam hedge, pool area, working kitchen garden and a woodland walk. In Spring plenty of bulbs, early flowers and shrubs. Directions: 5 miles south of Fakenham between the A1065 at South Raynham, B1145 at Stanfield and B1146 at Horningtoft. |

HOE HALL, Hoe, East Dereham, NR20 4BD
The house and gardens are next to the Church of St. Andrew with lovely views over parkland. The main feature of this extensive garden is the spectacular wisteria walk running the full length of a mixed shrub and herbaceous border in the walled garden. There are many other areas of planting as well with a rose parterre, espaliered fruit trees, borders and pots.
Directions: Turn off the B1110 between Dereham and North Elmham at Gorgate, signposted Hoe. Follow this narrow road for nearly a mile and the entrance is on the left. Can also be approached from Swanton Morley, signs will be in place. |

GAYTON HALL, Gayton, King’s Lynn, PE32 1PL
20 acres of wonderful gardens to spend the afternoon in with over 2 miles of paths rambling between lawns and the lake with bridges leading over streams in and out of beautiful woodland.
The paths are a mixture of bark, gravel and grass with good wheelchair access to most areas. The waterside beds are full of bulbs, primulas, lysichiton, hostas and gunneras. A variety of unusual shrubs and trees have been planted over many years and there are also more formal flower borders near the house. Directious: 6 miles east of Kings Lynn just off B1145. At the far end of the village turn onto the B1143 at the crossroads and immediately right onto Back Lane. The garden entrance is on the left. |

ELSING HALL, Elsing, Dereham, NR20 3DX
The Hall, a moated manor house built about 1470, is set in a small park with many specimen trees and was owned by one family until 1958.
The 20 acre garden was established over 30 years ago and has been under constant development ever since. There is a unique avenue of gingko trees, a maturing pinetum, formal gardens, abundant planting round the lake and a viewing mound. The feature that Elsing is renowned for in summer is the multitude of old English roses adorning the walls of the house, the walled garden and many other borders and grown as specimen shrubs; the whole giving an amazing scent and sight when in full bloom. It is a peaceful and beautiful location described as one of the hidden treasures of East Anglia. Directions: 15 miles west of Norwich between the A47 at Dereham and A1067 at Bawdeswell. Signs will be in place. |

SALLE PARK GARDENS, Salle, Reepham, NR10 4SF
The house, built in 1763, is surrounded by a Georgian style pleasure garden of formal lawns and topiary, rose gardens, specimen trees and shrubs, winter border , colourful Spring display and wild flowers, including an orangery with exotic planting. Behind a blanket of trees the door opens to the magical walled kitchen garden built in the 1780s, fully productive and retaining many original features with vine house, display glass house, new herbaceous borders, orchard and ice house.
Directions: The entrance to the garden is off the B1145 between Reepham and Cawston. Please do not use the postcode which takes you to the main Hall. |

BESTHORPE HALL, Attleborough, NR17 2LJ
The gardens surround the Hall which is the remaining part of a much larger 16th century brick building. The approach is down a tree-lined drive and a modern water feature is in the centre of the forecourt. Two main garden areas are bounded by lovely old Tudor brick walls with decorative gateways and there are extensive lawns with cylindrical clipped yews.
Yew buttresses divide some borders and there are spectacular trees throughout. Large mixed borders of shrubs and herbaceous flowers have been replanted over the past few years and there are masses of roses. Directions: 1 mile east of Attleborough on the Bunwell road, next to Besthorpe Church. |
